Is Beauty About Body Figure And Staying in Shape with the Best Masticating Juicer?

What is beauty?

Is beauty about having regular exercise or purchasing the best masticating juicer to stay in shape? Is it about the contour of the eyes, nose, lips, or the color of the hair? Or is beauty dependent on a person’s intellectual ability, talent, or skills?

Throughout history, art has constantly reflected a society’s perception of an ideal beauty. People’s perception and opinion of an exquisite beauty is established because of the time period, geographical setting, culture, and tradition. Because of these elements, artists in the past and present also have diverse perceptions of beauty.

For example, in 1483, Sandro Botticelli painted The Birth of Venus. Venus, in the painting, embodied the epitome of a woman during the Renaissance period which is thin yet curvaceous and pale. Botticelli overstated the measurements of her neck and legs for the purpose of bringing the viewer’s focus to her very attractive features. Since women are carriers and bringers of new life, Botticelli portrayed Europe’s perception of a woman’s beauty as gentle, fragile, and beautiful life givers. As shown in the painting, Venus covering herself with her hands and hair depicts that she is pure and untouched, a desirable quality of a woman in the fifteenth century. In theory, Venus exemplified the magnificence of life.

Societies evaluate an individual’s beauty by their physical appearance, their qualities, poise and by a certain way they act. For instance, some nations might adore men and women with a slim and slender physique, whereas others adore people who are plump, muscular, or those who have a more athletic built. Some see beauty in those who are reserved and shy, while others admire those who are independent, confident, successful, or scholarly.  Nonetheless, no matter which nation or culture these perceptions of beauty are linked to, men want to feel handsome and women want to feel beautiful. Both want to be appreciated. In addition to that, technology and media have influenced people to the point where a lot of individuals alter, transform, or change one or every aspect of themselves in an attempt to be accepted and to conform to the ideals of the society.
